Administration Building Window Replacement
The existing Administration Building's single pane glass windows are to be replaced with new energy efficient insulated glass windows. The exterior window casing will be also be stripped and repainted as a part of the project scope. The objective of the project includes the elimination of lead based paint from the exterior casing, reduced building energy consumption, improved appearance, improved occupant comfort and reduced long term maintenance cost.

Atwood Air Handler Unit Replacement
This project will replace aging air handling units with new energy efficient units in the Atwood Chemistry Building, thereby increasing the building's mechanical capacity while meeting current fume hood safety standards. This project is being coordinated with Emory College, the Department of Chemistry and Campus Services. Construction is scheduled to begin in late May '08 and be completed by Jan. Candler School of Theology and Ethics Center
This 5-story, approximately 75,000 square foot building is being constructed on Dickey Drive to house the Candler School of Theology and the Ethics Center. Clifton Road Mixed-Use Development
Turner Village Apartments and the D. Abbott Turner Center on Clifton Road has been cleared for the first phase of development of a new mixed-use, residential and retail development across from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
When complete, the mixed-use development will include street-level retail and housing units marketed at employees who work at Emory, the CDC and other institutional employers on Clifton Road.
The mixed-use project is expected to be part of the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED "green" and Earthcraft building programs. Over 50 percent of all of the construction material from the demolition of this site will be recycled back into the mixed-use development or other nearby projects. The University is donating all of the appliances from Turner Village to Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.

Dowman Drive Front Entrance Improvements & Oxford Road Realignment
The county is planning the construction of a new traffic "roundabout" at Emory Village and Emory will be taking advantage of that opportunity to improve the campus entrance at Dowman Drive.
The Dowman realignment will consist of repositioning the road to its original configuration entrance through the existing front gate columns, adding granite walls, a brick paved road and numerous other Emory hardscape and landscape elements.
The project will also include an upgrade of the water service in the area due to the age of the existing water line. Construction will start in May 2008 and continue throughout the summer.

Freshman Residence Halls 2 and 3
This project is the second phase of a four-phase, 9-year housing master plan that creates a new freshman housing complex adjacent to the Dobbs University Center (DUC). The design team is led by Ayers Saint Gross. This phase of the project consists of two buildings of 144 and 150 beds connected at the basement level and linked by a common plaza overlooking McDonough Field. The buildings will have a public presence with entrances off Eagle Row and Asbury Circle. A service drive and access point will face Fraternity House #6 off Eagle Row with a second service point off McDonough Field. Approximately 8,000 square feet of space is reserved for non-residential purposes and all will be built to the University's Environmental Stewardship Standards.

Oxford College Residence Hall
Oxford College is dedicated to the goal of excellence in undergraduate liberal arts education. To promote that vision the Oxford College Residence Hall One is being constructed. The Program Advisory Committee and the design team led by Jova/Daniels/Busby developed the design for this residential facility. The 350 bed spaces are in 2 three story buildings with large entrance lobbies, traditional style double rooms, community bathrooms, study lounges, student health services, seminar rooms, and a staff apartment. The planned layout is based on the RA community grouping 34 to 36 beds around a RA room, community bath, 2 study lounges, and laundry. Typically two of these communities will share a larger social lounge and take one floor of each building.

Peachtree Creek Pedestrian Bridge
A new 210-foot pedestrian suspension bridge will be built over Peachtree Creek providing a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly route between the VA Hospital and the University campus. Construction is expected to be completed spring 2008.February, 2008 to May, 2008

Psychology Building
The new 120,000 square foot, 5 story building will house instructional and research space for the Emory College Psychology department and will include a new home for the Psychological Center. The building will be located on Eagle Row next to the Atwood Chemistry Center. It will be built to the University's Environmental Stewardship Standards featuring green design and building techniques. Rollins School of Public Health Expansion
A new building is set to begin construction for the Rollins School of Public Health. The Claudia Nance Rollins (CNR) Building will be a 9-level (+ Mechanical Penthouse) building, 195,000 GSF situated between the School of Nursing, the existing Grace Crum Rollins (GCR) School of Public Health and O. Wayne Rollins Buildings, and Rollins Way.
The new building is programmed to become the new "front door" for the School of Public Health and includes wet and dry research labs, instructional space, a 250-seat auditorium, student support space, administrative offices, faculty offices and support space, and the Office of the Dean. CNR and GCR will be connected at the first level via an enclosed pedestrian bridge. Construction is scheduled to start May 2008 and be completed in the summer of 2010. The project will be built to the University's Environmental Stewardship Standards.

WMB and Quad Chillers-Cross Connect Piping
Emory University, working with Mann Mechanical, is beginning a two phase utility project. The first portion of this project will consist of new underground chilled water pipe installation connecting the Woodruff PE Center to the new Freshman 2 & 3 complex currently under construction. This portion of the project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2008. The second portion of the project will consist of the installation of underground chilled water piping from the Woodruff PE Center to Woodruff Memorial Building and is scheduled to begin early the summer of 2008.

Yerkes CVMAR / Field Station
Emory University is working with Yerkes National Primate Research Center to develop the Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Administration and Research Building (CVMAR) on the Yerkes field station campus in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
The new building will replace some of the current structures with a new facility that will include new offices, pharmacy, animal housing and other operational requirements. This building will include an energy recovery mechanical system, interior green-friendly finishes such as concrete flooring, and corridor spaces on the perimeter in order to bring light into multiple interior spaces.
